Ball Bearings
A ball bearing is a round connector linking a moving part to another part in a machine, often one that doesn't move. It enables the moving part to offer or receive support while minimizing the friction generated by its rotation. Refer to Figure 1 for an illustration of a self-aligning ball bearing.
Roller Bearings
Rolling bearings help and direct moving or swinging parts in machines, like shafts, axles, or wheels. They move loads between different parts of the machine. These bearings are very accurate and cause very little friction. This allows the machine to spin quickly, making less noise and using less energy. They also help reduce heat and wear. Rolling bearings are affordable parts in machines, and they can be easily replaced. They usually follow size standards set by the country or the world.
Plain Bearings
Plain bearings are essential components that support and guide moving parts within machinery. They provide stability and reduce friction, ensuring smooth operation. These bearings are durable and cost-effective, contributing to the efficiency and longevity of industrial equipment.
Magnetic & Fluid Bearings
Magnetic bearings and fluid bearings are advanced components used in industrial applications. Magnetic bearings employ magnetic fields to suspend and guide rotating parts, eliminating the need for physical contact and reducing friction. Fluid bearings, on the other hand, use a layer of fluid to support moving elements, providing smooth operation and minimizing wear. Both types contribute to enhanced efficiency, reduced maintenance, and prolonged equipment life in various industrial settings.
